G.I. Joe Classified 60th Anniversary Legacy Series and The Respect Paid

Story by Destro Designs / Viper Den Studios

The latest drop from the G.I. Joe Classified Line is the 60th Anniversary Legacy Series, Special Forces Action Soldier. Its a cool figure that’s playing “keeping up with the Jones’s” with offerings from Monster Force and Acid Rain. Lots of gear, tactical chest rig, the whole nine. Even a “Ghost” Mask like the character from Call of Duty.

As cool as the figure is, I like it especially because it’s art of an homage from G.I. Joe, to America’s Hero’s via the Legacy Series. In this Line we have Recon Diver, The Marine Sniper, The HALO Jumper, The Infantry Soldier, and now, The Special Forces Soldier.

But they go a step further. They have the Police Officer and the Firefighter as well, givng applause to the everyday hero’s that are in are hometown and neighborhood.

The Police officer comes with a crazy loadout, they could be in riot gear, they could be on foot patrol, they could also be in a shootout with their Auto Shotguns or side arms. Truly an amazing looking figure and was worth the price of admission when it first came out. Really cool.

Also heavily kitted up is the Legacy Firefighter. The Jaws of Life, various prying bars and axes that all have real world practically in their design. One thing super cool is the aluminum foil-looking warming blanket. So damn unique.

All of the Legacy Soldiers come with an abundance of gear suited to their specialty. Standouts include the HALO Jumpers Parachute, that fully collapses into the backpack, with full face mask breather that attaches to the side of the backpack. The Marine Sniper has a bit of soft goods that is pretty cool, The Recon Divers have an incredible breathing and re-breathing set up that no other water figure has. They also come with a under water propulsion device that is just so amazing. The Infantrymen has perhaps the coolest load out of all. A full on Ma-Duece with tripod, a slew of awesome weapons and pouches that can be put all over his upper body, and a soft goods, camoflage pull over that is really awesome. And now the Special Forces Soldier takes aim at that crown with an RPG, Misc heads and an overall cool factor that cant be messed with.

I know this is a departure from my normal arcticles, but I just wanted to take a second to say how I cool i think it is that our real-life heroes are getting their due from the greatest toy line of all time.

Growing up, people in the military, police officers and firefighters were in fact, supernheroes, and quite frankly, I think as adults we should recognize that too..

Putting your life on the line for our freedom, and the safety of our communities should not only never be taken lightly, it should in fact be celebrated like the 60th Anniversary Legacy Series does.

Destro Designs and Viper Den Studios gives a massive salute to the men and women who signed on that line to protect the rest of us, in one way or another, from all enemies, foreign and domestic.
Yall are the absolute best.

Hells Yeah.
